Derek V. Irish, CFP®

Senior Financial Advisor, Principal

Derek Irish is a Principal and Senior Financial Advisor for Ronald Blue & Co.'s branch office in Houston, Texas.

With 20 years experience in the financial planning field, Derek has developed expertise in investment, retirement, estate and cash flow planning as well as development of custom financial strategies for clients and organizations. Derek understands the complex questions and issues surrounding comprehensive financial planning and wise investment counsel. In addition to serving his clients, Derek also serves on Ronald Blue & Co.'s Investment Management Committee.

Prior to joining the firm in January of 1998, Derek was a Senior Manager with Accenture working with clients on large scale, multi-million dollar corporate re-engineering projects. His primary responsibility was design and implementation of custom financial and business strategies for leading companies across the country.

Derek graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Chemical Engineering. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Derek is a frequent speaker at financial planning seminars and is an active member, deacon, teacher and director at Second Baptist Church of Houston.

Derek and his wife, Jemma, live in Houston, Texas with their three children.
