David Ward is Managing Director and a Principal in Ronald Blue & Co.'s branch office in Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch office, David works with clients to provide sophisticated investment solutions, estate plans, and personal financial planning. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 20 years of experience, David has a proven track record of helping high net worth individuals attain their goals.
Prior to his affiliation with the firm in 1994, David was in senior financial management in the telecommunication industry with MCI, GTE, Conte Cellular, and McCaw Communications. As Director of Financial Planning, Director of Finance, and Controller he was responsible for strategic planning, acquisitions and mergers, and financial reporting for senior management. He also gained in depth knowledge of personal and corporate income taxes during his five years with a regional CPA firm.
David is active in the Atlanta community, serving on the Finance Committee at Fellowship Bible Church and in a leadership role with Medical Mission Ministries to Guatemala. He is also Chairman of the Board for Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Northwest Atlanta.
David is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Association of Financial Planners, the Georgia Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
David earned his BS in Accounting from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1982. He and his wife, Karen, have three children and reside in Alpharetta, Georgia.
