Joe Helms is the Managing Director for Ronald Blue & Co.'s branch office in Seattle, Washington.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) certificant, Joe understands the complex issues surrounding the development of a comprehensive, personal financial strategy. Whether his clients have a desire to fund long-term goals such as college or retirement, start their own business, or ensure that their investments are allocated properly, Joe knows how to translate those dreams into a workable, realistic, and custom-tailored financial plan. With expertise in estate planning, Joe can design a plan to minimize estate taxes and effectively accomplish his clients' desires regarding their families and the causes they support.

Prior to joining Ronald Blue & Co. in 1997, Joe was with American Express Financial Advisors. He has additional experience in sales and sales management. Before entering the business world, Joe was on staff with the Navigators in Seattle where he taught English as a second language.

Active in the community, Joe is a member of the International Association for Financial Planners. He has also presented numerous financial and estate planning seminars to businesses and churches in the Puget Sound area. Joe is an elder at Calvin Presbyterian Church where he teaches in the adult education program, leads small group bible studies and has served on the elder board.

Joe earned a BA in Linguistics from San Diego State University and a Masters of Education from the University of Washington.

Joe and his wife, Lisl, live in Seattle with their two children.
