Joseph D. Helms, CFP®

Managing Director, Principal

Joe Helms is a Principal and the Managing Director for Ronald Blue & Co.'s branch office in Seattle, Washington.

With over 15 years of experience as a financial advisor, Joe has expertise in investment management, cash flow, retirement, tax and estate planning as well as charitable gift planning. He works with his clients to help them clarify and achieve their financial goals.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Joe earned a BA in Linguistics from San Diego State University and a Masters of Education from the University of Washington. After graduation, Joe was on staff with The Navigators in Seattle where he taught English as a second language.

Prior to joining Ronald Blue & Co. in 1997, Joe worked for American Express Financial Advisors, where he gained experience in sales and sales management. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant and a member of the Financial Planning Association and Kingdom Advisors.

Active in the community, Joe serves on the board of the Seattle Christian Foundation and Taproot Theatre. Joe is often invited to speak about the biblical principles of financial management to groups such as the Christian Medical and Dental Association, The City Chapel Fellowship and other church groups. He is involved in leadership at his church and active at the Christian school where his children attend.

Joe and his wife, Lisl, live in Seattle with their two children.
