James D. Wise, CFP®, ChFC, CLU

Managing Director, Principal

Jim Wise is the Managing Director for Ronald Blue & Co.'s branch office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a Principal with the firm.

With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jim’s professional designations include: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), and CAP (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy).  Jim is a frequent conference speaker on the topic of biblical stewardship, and he enjoys teaching individuals and families the practical application of biblical financial principles.

Prior to joining the firm, Jim worked as Vice President of Investments with Salomon Smith Barney. He also worked as a financial consultant with Paine Webber for over seven years. Before moving to Fort Lauderdale in 2009 to lead the firm's newest branch office, Jim served as the Managing Director of the Baltimore office for over ten years.

Jim has been a conference speaker at the National Christian Business and Education Exposition and has conducted financial workshops for AT&T, U.S. Can Company, and Northrop Electronics. He has written two books, a Bible study workbook entitled Five Steps to Financial Freedom (2003, Hensley Publishing) and Spiritual Gifts, Plain and Simple (2008, VMI Publishing).

Active in his community, Jim is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He has served on the Board of Directors for Chesapeake Theological Seminary and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Slavie Federal Savings Bank. Jim is also on the Board of Trustees for Messiah Community Church.

Jim and his wife, Lori, reside in Fort Lauderdale, with the youngest four of their six children.
