Ken Cottingham is a Principal and Senior Financial Advisor for the Private Client Group of of Ronald Blue & Co., LLC.

Ken maintains strong client relationships by helping people translate their dreams and goals into a workable, realistic financial plan. With expertise in tax planning and accounting, Ken provides his clients with custom-tailored financial strategies to help fund everything from college education to a secure retirement. In addition, Ken specializes in developing charitable giving strategies for clients.

Ken holds several professional credentials including the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certifications. Ken also has experience in business valuation services. Ken is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Prior to joining Ronald Blue & Co. in 1990, Ken was the controller for a not-for-profit organization where he managed the accounting department and assisted with the management of commercial rental properties. He previously served as Secretary/Treasurer of FBA Properties, a real estate and property management company. In addition, Ken has previous experience as a property/casualty insurance underwriter for a regional insurance company.

Ken holds a BS in Business Administration from Liberty Baptist College and has done post-graduate work at Georgia State University in Accounting. He and his wife, Cheryl, live in Douglasville, Georgia and have two adult children.
