Bruce is the Estate & Trust Planning Manager for Ronald Blue Trust in the national office. He joined the Estate Planning Practice Area of Ronald Blue & Co. (the predecessor company to Ronald Blue Trust) in 2007.
Bruce offers experience in estate and wealth transfer planning, including wills, intervivos and testamentary trusts, gift and estate tax matters, and charitable gift planning. Bruce also has extensive experience relating to family limited partnerships and LLCs, retirement distribution planning, estate administration, and business success planning.
Prior to joining the company, Bruce spent 21 years practicing as an attorney in Atlanta, GA. He was a member of the Trusts and Estates Group of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan LLP (now Eversheds Sutherland (U.S.) LLP), where he spent 15 years advising clients on estate and wealth transfer planning matters. Prior to Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan, Bruce practiced for over 5 years as a trusts and estates attorney with Kilpatrick & Cody (now Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton LLP), a law firm in Atlanta, where he provided similar services to his clients.
Bruce is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received his BBA, with a concentration in Accounting. In addition, Bruce earned his J.D., with honors, and his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bruce is also a CPA.
Active in his community, Bruce has been a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on estate planning issues and is an active member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council and of the tax and estate planning-related sections of the Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association.
Bruce and his wife, Leah, live in Marietta, Georgia, and have three adult children.
