Julie Swanger is a Sr. Investment Strategist with Ronald Blue Trust’s Investment Strategy Group (ISG), which operates out of the company’s corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia.
Julie assists in the development of investment strategies that seek to increase the probability of success of meeting clients’ financial planning goals. The ISG is responsible for constructing model portfolios, selecting investment instruments, and performing ongoing due diligence of those investments.
Prior to joining Ronald Blue Trust, Julie spent over four years matching client investment needs with customized solutions as the Investment Director of a wealth management team at Morgan Stanley. Before her time at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Julie was a Credit Strategist at Credit Suisse, splitting time between New York and Atlanta, where she analyzed macro trends and recommended opportunities in investment grade and high yield fixed income vehicles to institutional banking clients. Julie also spent six years at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as a Corporate Bond Portfolio Manager.
Julie is originally from Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Miami University in Ohio. She also earned a Master’s in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.
Julie is an active member of her local church where she serves on the guest services team. When her children were younger, Julie served as a Girl Scout troop leader in the Alpharetta area and is passionate about the promotion of STEM education for girls. She was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award by Girl Scouts of America.
Julie currently resides in Milton, Georgia and has two teenage daughters.
