Mark Elam is a Sr. Investment Strategist with Ronald Blue Trust’s Investment Strategy Group (ISG), which operates out of the company’s corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mark assists in the development of investment strategies that seek to increase the probability of success of meeting clients’ financial planning goals. The ISG is responsible for constructing model portfolios, selecting investment instruments, and performing ongoing due diligence of those investments.
Prior to joining Ronald Blue Trust, Mark held positions with U.S. Trust, Northern Trust, GenSpring Family Offices, and SunTrust in Atlanta. Mark also spent six years with JP Morgan in New York City. In each of those roles, he worked with individuals and families assisting them in meeting their wealth management goals.
Mark is originally from south Florida and graduated from Florida State University. He also earned an MBA with a concentration in finance from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University in New York City. Mark holds the Charted Financial Analyst® designation.
Mark is an active member of his local church where he frequently engages in fulfilling his passion for teaching.
Mark and his wife of 28 years, Denise, have one son who attends UNC-Wilmington. Mark enjoys playing and watching tennis and vacationing with his family. One of their favorite destinations is visiting the U.S. national parks out west.
