Brett Whitley is a senior private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division and partner of Blue Trust and serves his clients out of the office in Nashville, Tennessee.

As an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses, Brett uses his objective perspective to help clients make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help those he serves focus on the things that matter most to them. Brett and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.

Prior to joining Blue Trust in 2012, Brett enjoyed 18 years of experience working in various capacities including his role as chief financial and operating officer for a local real estate development and investment company, owner and U.S. equity trader in an independent investment firm, and spent his earlier years in corporate management of finance, sales & marketing, and operations within the General Motors’ Saturn division.

Brett earned his MBA from Vanderbilt University and graduated from Wheaton College and Illinois Institute of Technology with a dual degree in liberal arts and mechanical engineering.

Brett is active in his community by serving as a volunteer coach for youth sports, as a board member to local non-profit organizations, and in the local church he and his family attend. Brett and his wife, Rebecca, live in Franklin, Tennessee with their three children.
