Chris Carlson is the chief fiduciary officer for Blue Trust.

With over 28 years of experience in financial planning and trust services, Chris leads the Fiduciary Services team by providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality fiduciary services and performance. He oversees all fiduciary activities, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Before his current role, Chris served as a senior family trust advisor in the company’s Family Office division. Chris previously worked as a regional relationship manager for Synovus Trust Company, N.A. Before Synovus, he served at SunTrust Bank as vice president & trust officer and was responsible for relationship management and business development.

Chris graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS degree in economics and a master’s degree in agricultural economics. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Active in the community, Chris is a member of the North Georgia Estate Planning Council and serves on the board for Micah’s Promise, Inc., an organization devoted to DMST awareness, prevention, and recovery. Chris is also active in his local church.

Chris and his wife, Amy, live in Columbus, Georgia, and have one daughter and two sons.
