David Kruis is a private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division of Blue Trust and serves his clients out of the office in Holland, Michigan.

As an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses, David uses his objective perspective to help clients make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help those he serves focus on the things that matter most to them. David and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.

Prior to joining Blue Trust, David was a principal in The Connable Office, Inc., a Michigan trust bank and multi-family office, where he served as vice president, CFO, and managing director overseeing finance and tax functions and managing client relationships for multi-generational, high net worth families. Prior to that, David worked for Ernst & Young as an auditor and senior tax consultant.

David received a BBA in accounting and an MBA in finance from Western Michigan University.

David is honored to have served in his community on several corporate and nonprofit boards and in church leadership positions. He is currently serving as board treasurer of 70×7 Life Recovery in Grand Rapids and Holland, Michigan.

He and his wife, Debra, live in Byron Center, Michigan. They have four adult children and eight grandchildren. In his spare time David enjoys water sports of all types, hosting family and friends at the lake cottage, racquet and paddle sports (especially pickleball), golf, and downhill skiing.
