David Sylvester is a senior private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division of Ronald Blue Trust and serves his clients out of the office in Walnut Creek, California.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant and an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses, David uses his objective perspective to help clients make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help those he serves focus on the things that matter most to them. David and his team integrate financial planning and investment management into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.
Prior to joining Ronald Blue Trust, David founded CAVU Wealth Advisors 14 years ago where he also served as the managing director. He founded CAVU on a holistic approach to wealth management, a focus on family legacy development and wealth transfer, and generosity. During those 14 years, CAVU donated 10% of its revenues, totaling over $575,000 in donations, to dozens of charitable organizations, including Convoy of Hope (globally) and Bay Area Rescue Mission (locally). David has an avid interest in aviation, and he previously worked as a noted airline analyst at Hambrecht & Quist, Montgomery Securities (now Bank of America – Merrill), and Kidder Peabody. He then went on to serve as Harmony Airways’ first president.
David earned his BS in accounting and finance from the University of Richmond.
David is an active member of his local church, Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church, where he helps lead their Financial Peace University course. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities like golfing, running, and backpacking.
David and his wife, Terry, reside in Moraga, California, and have four adult daughters and nine grandchildren.
