The following was written by Nick Stonestreet, CEO of Ronald Blue Trust.
Many of you may already know that Ronald Blue Trust celebrated our 40th anniversary in November. We recently recognized this milestone with our employees across the U.S. and at our national office in Atlanta. We were also blessed to have our founder, Ron Blue, join us on this special day.
As we spent time reflecting on our rich history, it is amazing to look back at how God used Judy and Ron Blue’s faithfulness to His calling to start a company that has served thousands of clients over the years. And I am eternally grateful to our loyal and steadfast clients who have helped build this company into what it is today.
When I reflect on the company’s history, four words come to mind: wisdom, mission, service, and generosity.
Biblical wisdom is the foundation of our advice and we believe biblical principles are the best guide for making wise financial decisions. Our employees seek to apply these principles and encourage our clients to do the same.
Based on Howard Hendrick’s encouragement to Ron Blue to help Christians become better stewards, our mission has been the same for 40 years: to help Christians become financially free to assist in fulfilling the Great Commission. This mission guides our paths and informs our financial advice.
Our clients are our priority and we strive to serve them with excellence through wise counsel and trusted relationships. Our firm verse is 1 Timothy 6:17-19, which reminds us not to fix our hope on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God. We are called to be rich in good works, generous and ready to share, storing up the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that we may lead the life God has planned for us. From Orlando to Orange County, I am excited about the strength of our 14 current offices and look forward to expanding our influence in the coming years.
Ron Blue says, “Stewardship is the use of God-given resources for the accomplishment of God-given goals.” That statement is the truth that we seek to share with our clients every day. I love to hear the stories of the impact our clients are making in their local communities and around the world. Their selfless generosity is inspiring, and we celebrate hundreds of millions of dollars in worldwide giving every year. As you know though, the giver is often even more blessed than the recipient. For over 40 years, our advisors have encouraged clients to hold their wealth with an open hand so that they may truly experience the gift of giving.
My prayer is that this company will continue to make an incredible impact for the next 40 years and beyond. I look forward to new clients, new employees, new offices, and new opportunities.
May you and your families know and experience God’s abundant love and grace this holiday season. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year!
