Gary Bell is a managing director for the Private Wealth division and senior partner of Blue Trust.

As managing director, Gary oversees the day-to-day operations, growth, and expansion of the office in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to his leadership role, Gary works with individuals, families, and businesses, using his objective perspective to help them make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help clients focus on the things that matter most to them. Gary and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.

Prior to joining Blue Trust in 1995, Gary worked as a tax specialist for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, where he assisted individuals and businesses in tax planning and compliance.

Gary holds a BS in accounting and business administration from Presbyterian College where he graduated cum laude in 1992. He earned his master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Georgia in 1993. Gary is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certificant and a Certified Wealth Strategist®.

Gary’s past and present community involvement includes his position as an Elder at his local church and a board member to various organizations including, New Hope Academy, ThriftSmart, Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Middle Tennessee, Siloam Health, and Hopes Smiles.

Gary and his wife, Allena, reside in Franklin, Tennessee, with their four children. He is also an avid sports fan.
