What Is Relational Clarity?

God designed us for healthy relationships. In fact, we teach that the kingdom of God is the kingdom of right relationships. We believe that relational clarity, a predetermined standard for how employees of a company interact with each other in a covenantal manner, builds healthy relationships. A team’s effectiveness and productivity depend on the clarity established around group behaviors and expectations.

Beginning in Genesis, God instituted healthy relationships established on trust, vulnerability, and truthfulness. However, human selfishness and insecurity often cause people to hide their authentic selves, jeopardizing relationships. We see evidence of this in the Bible and today, including in the workplace.

Employees come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic groups, bringing with them different beliefs and communication styles. The norm is to bring all of these styles together and hope they get along. Unsurprisingly, this can lead to challenges. Yet we believe that with intentionality, leaders can foster the healthy relationships God intended.

We teach businesses leaders that if individuals commit to relating to one another in a covenantal manner, with the foundation being love and value, they can create the clarity God intended in relationships. Clarity in relationships establishes trust, and setting expectations for healthy relationships established by God can create the clarity necessary for team effectiveness.
